Position Title: Residence Life Coordinator II (Hall Director)

Employment Type: Full time, Academic Staff, Salaried

Reports To: The Residence Life Coordinator II will report to the Director of Housing and Residence Life.

Full Time Pay Range: Starting at $35,000 annualized, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Previous full or part time work experience in student affairs at an institution of higher education.

The Residence Life Coordinator II is a full-time, live-in, professional position responsible for managing and day-to-day operations of a co-ed residential community of approximately 400+ residents. The Residence Life Coordinator II is an essential position in the department. It contributes to a comprehensive residence life program by supervising student staff, implementing a residential curriculum, managing community administrative operations, and participating in departmental assignments. Housing and Residence Life is committed to offering academic support and student support opportunities that contribute to the overall student development of students living in the residence halls at UWP. Living in university housing will give residents essential skills to achieve personal and academic success. Successful candidates will demonstrate skills in the personal growth development of the students.

Housing and Residence Life is comprised of three residence halls for first-year through graduate students. The department has eight professional staff members and various student staff positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a main point of contact for resident support providing mediation and resolution of personal and facility issues
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates student programs and co-curricular initiatives for residence life.
  • Receives and responds to crisis and student conduct situations according to established policies and procedures
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of students and assist with the personnel management allocation plan, including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation
