The Buyer/Administrative Support is responsible for a variety of duties in the office. These duties include purchasing responsibilities, various human resources tasks, and assorted other administrative functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Update daily Shortage report for VNY, information provided by CIW / OEM
- Update daily Late Backlog with current information provided by CIW / OEM
- Placing PO’s / DOS with CIW / OEM (backup for service center planner)
- Submit request for pricing to WF / RFQ (backup for service center planner)
- Daily: Search Network for parts, to fulfill shortages
- Responsible: for requesting quotes for consumables / non consumables, and Misc.
- Responsible: for ordering consumables / non-consumables
- Purchase of tools and any special equipment require
- Order supplies for the shop, shipping and office
- Verify that all PO’s for consumables are acknowledged with correct pricing and ESD, before the warehouse closes the lines
- Submit all W-9 for all new vendors to establish supplier in M3
- Create PO’s for Calibration, set up on-site calibration
- Issue badge cards to new employees and submit information to HR
- Code all invoices for freight in and freight out
- Code all invoices for VNY and send it to accounting department for payment
- Coordinate all training on-site / off-site
- Open and distribute mail

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
